and contribute to the safe transport of seals in distress.
We believe that healthy seals and a healthy ocean are inextricably linked. At our center, researchers are studying what we can learn from this principle. For the seal, for our ocean, and for our own health. With a visit or donation, you support our work. Every contribution counts. Will you join us?
When we started in 1971, the seal was nearly extinct in the Netherlands. Now, the seal is no longer on the Red List of Endangered Mammals. Free and in their natural habitat in the Wadden Sea: that's how we prefer to see seals. We owe this success largely to the tireless contributions of professionals, volunteers, and donors.
Sadly, there will always be seals that need help, for example, because they've become entangled in litter. If necessary, the animals are brought to our center. Here, veterinarians, caretakers, and volunteers are ready to help them. Our dedicated team rolls up their sleeves every day.
